CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF MUSIC IN THE 2023-2024 SEASON
Inaugurated in 1983, the Civic Orchestra of Victoria is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for musicians of varying ages and abilities to perform a wide repertoire of orchestral music for supportive audiences in the Capital Regional District. The orchestra usually performs four concerts each year with rehearsals starting in September and ending by late May.

Audition Notice
The Orchestra seeks musicians to audition to fill the following volunteer positions:
- Principal Viola
- Principal Trombone
Support Personnel
The Civic Orchestra of Victoria is looking for personnel to fill the following volunteer positions:
- Board of directors, to stand for election at our upcoming AGM in the fall:
- Vice President
- Treasurer (experience with QuickBooks would be very helpful)
- Directors at large.
Previous board experience is not required, but would be an asset.
- Non-board positions:
- Grants Coordinator – this job can be done remotely and requires strong writing and basic budgeting skills. In a typical year, there would be 2-3 applications and then follow-up reporting at the end of the season or project. Support from existing board members and past grants coordinators will be available to anyone taking up the position.
